Borussia Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulisic has stated that he ‘couldn’t’ join rivals Bayern Munich and has pledged his future to his current employers amid reported interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

The American is fast becoming one of Dortmund’s most important players and recently enjoyed another profitable season where he scored 5 goals and registered 12 assists in 43 appearances.

His form has seen him linked with a number of big clubs around Europe and that speculation has led to some fears that he could follow in the footsteps of Mario Gotze, Robert Lewandowski and Mats Hummels, who all swapped BVB for Bayern Munich.

However, when recently asked whether he would consider a switch to the Bundesliga champions, the teenager provided an emphatic response.

“I couldn’t do that,” he told Penn Live, as quoted by Goal.com

Whilst a move to Bayern appears to be off the cards, Pulisic continues to be heavily linked with a move to England, with Liverpool said to be admirers of the talented USA international.

Though the player himself admitted that he was interested in playing in the Premier League, he further eased fears about a possible departure from the Westfalenstadion by pledging his immediate future to Dortmund.

He added: “When I was little I wanted to play in the Premier League but now that I’m in the Bundesliga I’m not planning on a move because that’s what I want to do.

“I’m really happy there and I’m just kind of going with the flow and I’m happy with it.”
