Barcelona are growing increasingly confident they can tempt Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin away from the club this summer – especially if the Gunners miss out on Champions League qualification.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan club are willing to pay £42m to acquire Bellerin’s services. They have long been linked with a move for the Spanish youngster, who came through the Barcelona youth setup before moving to Arsenal.
With Bellerin’s Barcelona ‘DNA’, the club feel he would be the perfect fit for the right-back position – a role they haven’t successfully filled since Dani Alves left for Juventus at the start of the season.

It is believed the Gunners may be willing to part ways with the Spanish star if Barcelona stump up around £42m.
Arsenal have a monumental hill to climb if they are to finish in the top four which would see them qualify for next season’s Champions League. They face Everton at home in the final game of the season this weekend, knowing they have to better Liverpool’s result against relegated Middlesbrough.
The Gunners gave themselves a slim chance after beating Sunderland 2-0 on Tuesday thanks to a brace from Alexis Sanchez.
If they do fail to make the Champions League it would be the first time since 1998 and could have a detrimental effect on the club, with many stars thinking about heading towards the Emirates Stadium exit sign.
Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been heavily rumoured to be considering their futures, and now Bellerin could very well be added to the list of names thinking about leaving the club.
