Ligue 1: Monaco beat Lyon, PSG draw

Blaise Matuidi scored a fortuitous goal deep into injury time as Paris Saint-Germain kept their unbeaten record and stayed top of Ligue 1 after coming back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 away to Saint-Etienne on Sunday.

PSG was seriously rocked by a Saint-Etienne side who played without fear and took the game to coach Laurent Blanc's side. Last season, Saint-Etienne won away to PSG, drew at home and knocked PSG out of the League Cup quarterfinals, and it looked in complete control after goals from wingers Benjamin Corgnet and Romain Hamouma.

But after Fabien Lemoine was sent off in the 58th minute, PSG pulled a goal back through striker Edinson Cavani 10 minutes later and then Matuidi's lofted pass beat goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier.
Radamel Falcao scored his eighth goal of the season as Monaco beat struggling Lyon 2-1.

Mounir Obbadi gave Monaco the lead in the 28th minute with his first goal of the season. Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes punched away a corner but the ball fell to Obbadi about 25 meters out and he hit a powerful half-volley into the top right corner.

Falcao added a second goal in the 36th with a clinical finish before striker Bafetimbi Gomis pulled a goal back for Lyon in the second half.

Earlier Sunday, Cheick Dibate and Ludovic Obraniak scored late goals as Bordeaux beat 10-man Montpellier 2-0.

It was Bordeaux's second win in three games and moved them up to 13th place, while Montpellier is 15th.

Montpellier was up against it after Yassine Jebbour was shown a straight red card in the 18th minute for a dangerous high tackle on Lucas Orban.
