Kelechi Iheanacho impresses Arsenal scouts at U-17 World Cup

Kelechi Iheanacho

Reports suggest that Arsenal top scouts at the FIFA U-17 World cup have been impressed by Kelechi Iheanacho's performances at the tournament.

Iheanacho announced himself as a star after scoring four great goals against Mexico, as Nigeria thrash the defending champions 6-1 in the opening match of the tournament.

Daily Mail reports:

Gunners chief scout Steve Rowley is out in the United Arab Emirates watching the tournament and is known to be impressed by the midfielder.

Arsenal will have to move swiftly to seal a deal for the teenager as his performance, including four assists with his quartet of goals in the group stage, has alerted a host of Europe’s elite teams to his ability.

A move to Arsene Wenger’s side would appeal to Iheanacho, whose aspiration it is to grace the Premier League, which is widely followed in his home country.
